Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Angelus.

Direct answers about how Angelus works, what it does and what it doesn't do.

What is Angelus Guardian?

Angelus Guardian is a technology initiative in development to strengthen trust networks and support faster responses in contexts of violence against women, gender-based violence and femicide risk. It combines discreet protocols, protection journeys, temporary accompaniment and coordination in Angelus Central.

Who is Angelus for?

For people who want to organize a trusted guardian network and prepare discreet ways to ask for help or share temporary accompaniment. It also supports those who follow along as guardians, via browser or app.

What is a protected person?

The person who uses Angelus to configure guardians, routines, protection journeys and protocols. They decide when to activate accompaniment and with whom to share context.

Who are guardians?

Trusted contacts chosen by the protected person. They can receive alerts, follow an incident via a temporary link and act based on shared context — without replacing official services.

How do routines and protection journeys work?

Routines help prepare schedules, check-ins and accompaniment rules. Protection journeys let you schedule arrivals with tolerance: if confirmation does not occur, the network may receive an attention notice — without stating a confirmed emergency.

When is my location shared?

Only during an active incident, accompanied journey or when a protocol is active and permission has been granted. Outside those contexts, location is not shared automatically.

Does Angelus replace the police?

No. Angelus is a complementary tool that activates your trust network and organizes context. It does not replace police, emergency medical services, firefighters or official services. In immediate danger, also contact your local emergency services.

Is the app available yet?

Angelus is preparing for controlled beta testing on Android. The iPhone version is in development. The guardian follow-up panel works on the web.

What does controlled beta mean?

It means broader access is still being validated for reliability, experience, privacy and protocols. There is no public commercial offer or checkout on this site at this stage.

How is my personal data handled?

We collect only what is necessary for the protection service: registration, guardians, emergency events, contextual location during active protocols and technical delivery data. See the Privacy Policy for rights, deletion and contact.
